Yes - memberships can be swapped within 4 weeks of signing up. Outside this 4 week window you will be unable to swap and will need to subscribe to your desired membership.

Regular Members receive weekly emails featuring deals, offers and travel inspiration, although there are no fixed send days as this can vary depending on when offers go live.

Group Trip Members can expect one Group Trip email per week featuring trips currently available to book. The day these emails are sent may vary depending on when trips are finalised and released. Any Group Trips with availability at the time of sending will be included in these emails.

All RTC offers are sent directly to members via email, so there’s no need to sign in to our website. You simply choose the offers you love and book directly with the hotel or travel provider.

Regular Members will receive access to current offers through their Welcome Email, while Group Trip Members will begin receiving offers once the next Group Trip email is sent. Any Group Trips with availability at the time of sending will be included in these emails.

Our Group Trips are all about bringing together like-minded people who love travel, new experiences and making memories.

Whether you’re travelling solo, with friends or as a couple, our trips are designed to feel friendly, relaxed and easy to join. From UK breaks to bucket-list adventures abroad, RTC Group Trips combine great value with a welcoming community atmosphere.

Group Trips take place on set dates with fellow RTC members and include:

• Dedicated pre-trip WhatsApp groups
• Optional pre-trip Zoom call
• The opportunity to connect with other members before travelling

Some trips are guided and some are more independent, but this will always be stated before booking.

Regular Members typically get:

• Access to discounts for hotels, spa’s, activities and events across England as well as holiday travel packages

Our Group Trip emails only feature trips that are currently available to book for members.

If you don’t see a particular trip, it may have sold out, is no longer available, or may be part of our Regular Membership instead.

Some Group Trips can be extremely popular and sell out very quickly, but we always do our best to run additional dates or repeat popular destinations throughout the year. We run multiple trips to many destinations annually, so hopefully you’ll find a trip and date that suits you.

Unfortunately not. If a Group Trip is sold out, members will no longer be able to book the official RTC package or join the trip through our travel partner.

Booking separately may also mean you miss out on package extras such as transfers, group arrangements or other included features linked to the official RTC booking.

For international trips especially, it’s important to book through the official RTC travel partner so you are included as part of the Group Trip booking and can receive the correct support and package inclusions.

Some Group Trips can be extremely popular and sell out very quickly. When this happens, we’ll always do our best to secure additional dates or run the trip again where possible, as we hate seeing members miss out or feel disappointed.

Absolutely! On average, around 40% of our Group Trip members are solo travellers, so you definitely won’t be the only one.

Many of our members started out travelling solo and have since made great friendships and connections through the RTC community, with lots of members going on to book future trips together.

If you’re feeling nervous about travelling alone, we’d highly recommend joining our private Facebook group where you can chat with fellow Group Trip members, ask questions and get reassurance from people who were once in the exact same position.

Our Group Trips are designed to feel friendly, welcoming and relaxed - whether you arrive solo, with friends or as a couple.

All official RTC Group Trips will be clearly labelled as “Group Trip” within the email and on the offer page itself.

If an offer is not specifically labelled as a Group Trip, then it is likely part of our Regular Membership instead.

Our Group Trips are primarily designed for adults and are predominantly adult-only experiences, although older teenagers may occasionally join selected trips.

Many Group Trips include adult-focused activities and social environments such as pub visits, nightlife, distillery tours and other experiences that may not be suitable for young children.

Please also keep in mind that different countries and venues have varying rules and regulations regarding children in pubs, bars and certain activities, which may limit participation during parts of the trip.

Group activities are designed with adult travellers in mind, and there may not be other children or teenagers of a similar age on the trip.

For families travelling with young children, our Regular Membership is generally the most suitable option, as it offers much more flexibility around destinations, travel dates and family-friendly stays and activities.

Yes, all Group Trips will have a Whatsapp Group. If there is no Whatsapp for the trip you have asked about, then it is likely that it is not a Group Trip.

Zoom calls are held 4-6 weeks before the departure date of the trip for International Trips. This will offer members a chance to meet the other members going on the trip, get advice and tips about the Group Trip, and a document with what is discussed on that Zoom call will be shared to the Whatsapp Group after the call.

You will only receive Whatsapp invites and Zoom Call invites by invitation only and only when you pay for a Group Trip Membership and booked the Group Trip with the Travel Agent. You must email grouptrips@rorystravelclub.com and ask to be added to the specific Group Trip Whatsapp (including the exact dates and the destination of the trip), which the RTC Admin Team will then send on the Whatsapp invite so you can add yourself to the Whatsapp group.

By sending the invites upon your request, you are effectively opting into sharing your phone number to the group chats to get to know the other RTC members or to organise activities. Your number, name, and other personal details will not be shared by Rory’s Travel Club to any other organisation unless strictly necessary and within GDPR guidelines. At the end of the trip, you are free to remove yourself from the Whatsapp Group.

It is likely that you have not emailed grouptrips@rorystravelclub.com for the invite or your email has landed in the spam folder. Please email the Group Trips email as soon as you book your trip so you do not miss out.

It is likely that the Whatsapp group for that trip is not open yet. We tend to open Whatsapp Groups for International trips 4-6 weeks before the departure date. For Irish based Group Trips, we open the Whatsapp Groups 2 weeks beforehand.

Ideally, members should prepare for any International Group Trip with the following:

• Save all your booking details from the Travel Agent, and make a note of dates of departure and return, transfer options (if applicable), the hotel and where it is, and when you will receive tickets and other important information.
• Save the emergency number that a Travel Agent will provide in your documents
• Check out Travel Insurance (especially for International Trips) and save the documentation somewhere safe
• Check Visa information for your destination (if applicable)
• If your passport is up to date
• Check the baggage allowance for your flight and plan accordingly
• Pack clothing suitable for the destination, weather and planned activities, including comfortable footwear
• Organise and pack personal items and medication
• Join a Whatsapp Group and get to know the other members so that you can break the ice and look forward to having a great holiday together!

Ideally, members should prepare for any Group Trip in Ireland with the following:

• Check your travel plans for getting to the hotel (i.e. if you have a car or need a bus/ train to get to the hotel)
• Check with the Hotel on Check in and Check Out Times
• Save your reservation confirmation details
• Check out the area around the Hotel and suggest to other members activities or things to do with each other around your stay
• Check with the hotel any dietary requirements that they can accommodate (if required)
• Get to know the other members by joining the Whatsapp Group!

Depending on the destination (such as India), members will need to get in touch with their GP to consult with them about recommended vaccinations for the Group Trip. As Rory’s Travel Club is not a licensed medical organisation, that is not something that we can advise on. 

In the event that a Group trip is cancelled (whether via airline cancelling the flights etc) then the Travel Agent that booked the trip will be responsible for getting in contact with members as they have the details of their booking. The Travel Agents may either offer a refund or an alternative trip for you to take in the future. 

If a Hotel cancels a Group trip then they will be in contact and may offer a refund.

As Rory’s Travel Club is not a Travel Agent, we do not have any access or details of member bookings so we cannot offer refunds or alternative arrangements for future trips.

Members can cancel a Group Trip, but please check the hotel or the Travel Agent’s cancellation T&Cs in case it affects their booking deposit.

If members are on an International Trip then, they will have emergency numbers or contact numbers from the Travel Agent that they booked with. Members will need to use that emergency contact details to get in touch with the Travel Agent, and make sure that they have their reference number to hand. 

As Rory’s Travel Club is not a Travel Agent, we do not have any details of your booking so we are unable to assist with delayed or cancelled flights or issues with the hotel - in most cases we would need to get in touch with the Travel Agent too so it is best to contact with the Travel Agent directly.

We advise that members get to the airport 30 minutes before they normally do. This extra time will allow members to meet up with the others going on your trip and settle any nerves you may have (especially if you are travelling Solo). Members can use the Whatsapp prior to their departure date to suggest to other members where to meet, whether that is a coffee shop or at the boarding gate.
