Wow what a trip! 

Myself and 38 other Rory’s Travel Club members (including 20+ solos) have just returned from an amazing trip to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has SO much to offer - the culture, history, scenery, beaches and hospitality were all amazing! 

I put a post on Facebook a few days ago saying that I preferred Sri Lanka to Thailand, India, UAE, & I 100% mean it!  

Some of the Highlights:

• Highlights from the first couple of days included Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Dambulla Cave Temple and a visit to the local village. The hotel stays, especially at Liyya Water Villas was top class!
• We then did the train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella which is one of the most scenic train rides in the world - with stunning views of tea plantations and misty hills. 
• Next, we were onto Yala National Park’s Safari – where we encountered elephants, alligator, leopards & many more beautiful animals.
• Our last 3 days were spent on the beach at the amazing Cinnamon Day Beruwala Hotel. During this time we also did a beautiful River Boat Ride, visited a Turtle Hatchery and managed a grouo night out at a local beach pub!

I would definitely go back! 

Overall, the itinerary was jam-packed, but members had the option to opt in and out of activities. Each day offered something unique, and having everything organised for us took the stress out of it.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone thinking of visiting Sri Lanka.
