A New Stay in County Louth
When it comes to finding somewhere different for a weekend away, I'm always on the lookout for places that offer more than just a bed for the night. My latest stay brought me to Narrow Water Lodges in County Louth, where six brand-new self-catering pods have recently opened, offering visitors a peaceful countryside escape with all the comforts of home.

First Impressions
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The lodges have been thoughtfully designed to blend into their surroundings while still feeling modern and luxurious. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Louth countryside, it immediately felt like somewhere you could switch off, slow down and enjoy a relaxing break.
Inside the Lodges
Stepping inside, the lodge was bright, spacious and finished to a really high standard. Every detail had clearly been considered, from the stylish décor to the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living space. It had everything needed for a self-catering stay, making it ideal whether you're planning a romantic weekend, a family getaway or simply a few days to recharge.
A Peaceful Escape
One of the things I enjoyed most was the peaceful atmosphere. Waking up surrounded by nature and enjoying a morning coffee outside was a welcome change from the pace of everyday life. Although the setting feels wonderfully secluded, you're still within easy reach of everything County Louth has to offer, making it a fantastic base for exploring the area.

Exploring County Louth
County Louth may be Ireland's smallest county, but it's packed with incredible scenery, fascinating history and charming towns. Staying at Narrow Water Lodges means you can spend your days exploring the coastline, discovering local attractions or enjoying great food before returning to a quiet and comfortable place to relax in the evening.
What Makes Narrow Water Lodges Special?
What stood out most during my stay was how new and fresh everything felt. The lodges have only recently opened, and it really shows. The attention to detail, quality of the accommodation and peaceful location all combine to create somewhere that feels special without being overly complicated or pretentious.
The self-catering concept also gives you complete flexibility. Whether you want to prepare your own meals, head out to sample the local restaurants or simply enjoy a quiet evening indoors, the lodges provide the perfect space to make your stay your own.

My Final Thoughts
After spending time here, it's easy to see why these lodges are already attracting attention. They offer the perfect balance of comfort, privacy and location, making them suitable for couples, families and anyone looking to experience another side of County Louth.
My stay at Narrow Water Lodges was everything I hope for in a short break: peaceful surroundings, stylish accommodation and a great base for exploring one of Ireland's most underrated counties. If you're planning a trip to Louth and fancy staying somewhere a little different, I'd definitely recommend adding Narrow Water Lodges to your list. It's a fantastic new addition to the local tourism scene, and I have no doubt it will quickly become a favourite for visitors looking for a relaxing countryside escape.
